My name is Suzanne Deedon and I was the MOPS Co-Coordinator at the Grace Baptist MOPS group in the Santa Clarita Valley for two years. I was in charge of booking all of our speakers for my time in that position. During that time, we asked Melissa Maimone to come and speak, and without a doubt, she is AMAZING! I have actually had the privilege of hearing her speak on several occasions since then and each time I come away feeling inspired, renewed, and excited about my relationship with our Lord. She is biblically sound, yet personable. What I love about Melissa is that she has such a huge wheel house of tools, too! She has done monologues, acting, public speaking, and so much more.
After each of our speakers, we ask our leadership team what feedback they received concerning the topic/speaker, and with Melissa, we have always gotten high praises. She is real and honest, and the women I know who have seen her speak are always excited to see her again! In our MOPS group, although we are a Christian group, our members vary in religious beliefs, from Christian to non-believers. And while Melissa never compromises her Christian beliefs, she is able to speak to and reach all of us. She has a wonderful gift, and I promise you will not be disappointed if you have her come speak to your group.
