On Friday night, we remembered the crucifixion and death of our Lord Jesus Christ. The Son of God stood between us and our consequences – enduring pain He did not earn on our behalf. On that awful day, death reigned.
On Sunday morning when the sun rose, the Son rose. Light overcame the darkness. No more death. Only life.
At times, do you live as if the dark difficulties of this life are going to overcome you? I do. But it’s not the truth. Our Savior made sure of it. His resurrection means not only freedom from death – but a whole new life bursting with possibilities. Hurt can find healing. Peace can be permanent. Joy will not cower to pain.
Easter is more than a celebration; it's an invitation to live in the LIFE of His love.
Because of Easter, you can be assured of His forgiveness.
Because of Easter, you can walk in His grace.
Because of Easter, you can enjoy His freedom.
Because of Easter, you can rest in His comfort.
Because of Easter, you can be empowered by His Spirit.
Today is the first day of the rest of your life. Go live it.

This song has SO many layers of meaning both on this Easter Sunday AND in the midst of the Covd-19 quarantine. It gives me the chills along with a smile. I love, love, love it!
